Rebecca Oliensis

Rebecca came to Pilates as a lifelong dancer, who has always relished the technique of her classical training. After a debilitating hip injury, followed by an unsuccessful major surgery, Pilates proved the most beneficial treatment for her recovery—enabling her to regain freedom of movement and the joy it brings.

The strength, stability, and awareness found through the holistic full-body movement practice of Pilates has allowed her to develop more connection and engagement within her body than ever before. Eager to learn more and share this information with others, Rebecca was certified in anatomy, mat, and equipment through the Kane School of Core Integration, NYC.

Her teaching is supported by her studies in other movement modalities including Yoga, Gyrokinesis, Feldenkrais, Alexander Technique, and a broad range of dance styles, including Ballet, Contemporary, Theatre Dance, Tap, and Jazz. She has also studied Kinesthetic Anatomy and Biomechanics of Motion with Irene Dowd. Her academic education has focused on Psychology, Creative Arts Therapies, and Creative Writing at The New School.

Rebecca works with clients ranging from 10 to 91 years old, of all fitness and wellness levels. She specializes in training dancers, and has experience teaching Pilates to professional dancers as well as dance students from the School of American Ballet and The Juilliard School, among others. By aligning the body and correcting the inevitable imbalances life brings, she is able to help her clients move through life with ever-increasing ease.

Caitlin Javech

Private sessions with Caitlin available through Better You Pilates

A native of Miami, Florida, Caitlin Javech is a recent graduate of The Juilliard School where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. At Juilliard, Caitlin studied classical ballet, modern Dance, anatomy with Irene Dowd, the Alexander Technique, and The Franklin Method. 

Caitlin has used Pilates for eight years as a form of cross-training to aid her dance technique, performance, and teaching. Her love of Pilates and teaching inspired her to become a certified instructor at The Kane School of Core Integration, NYC in Anatomy, Mat, and Apparatus.

Caitlin is passionate about helping clients reach their health and fitness goals, recover from injuries, and improve posture through an individualized, detailed, and breathful full-body workout.
